Jake Garziano signed on to join the Moby Dicks in the 2026 offseason as first time player. An excellent all-around athlete and Son of a Long Island softball Hall of Famer, Garziano is one of the most coveted additions to the club and his debut is highly anticipated.

Eric Tow was signed to be an original Moby Dick in the 2024 season, unfortunately personal timing cut his tenure short. However, an extremely welcome return in the 2026 season lived up to the billing when his clutch no doubt 2 run bomb in his debut lifted Melville to a 2-0 season start and was named player of the game for his efforts. Big power and experienced defense at first make Tow one of the most promising Moby Dick additions and certainly has ABA's attention as a newcomer.

Every team needs a wild card. A player not afraid to shake it up. A personality not afraid to act bold for his team. A mark of a true competitor that not every roster can boast. Hovering outfielder Anthony Diasparra is that player. You can regularly see this powder keg roaming the grass more like a free safety than an outfielder, and always looking to force the issue grabbing an extra bag on the base path. Now in his second full season, the Melville native has earned tremendous respect from his peers around the league as one of the toughest players ABA has to offer at this level.

In a well documented vacation drunken stupor, Coach Barbarino signed the oldest Moby Dick on record just before the 2025 fall season. Nick Caracappa's brings something to the dugout that few in ABA can. His serious yet calm demeanor, and determination to help his team, even through injury have made Caracappa a cult hero for the Dicks. A sweet lefty stroke and experienced outfielder, Caracappa looks to round out his prime years as a key piece of Melville's future.

A power hitting corner infielder, Joey Boninti joined the Moby Dicks as a fill-in roster call up over the summer of 2025, eventually signing as a full time player for the 2026 season. His calm defending and timely usage of power swings was an important key to victory in Melville's first franchise sweep on October 9th, 2025.

The Moby Dick's first white whale free agent has done nothing but raise his club to new heights since signing on officially for the 2025 Fall season. As sure handed as they come in the outfield known for his excellent communication, Dan has rewarded the front office's vision with consistent performances and exemplary support for his teammates since his debut. Miele's great speed, strength, vision and capabilities at the plate make him a true 5 tool player and a key piece for Melville's 2026 season to be a competitive one.

Melville's prime offensive talent. The Virginia Tech alum is the clubs inaugural season team MVP and for good reason. The original lineup's 4 hole hitter, this major power threat has led some of the most lethal innings in Moby Dick history, particularly the clubs first 30 run performance on September 11th, 2025. Derek is a fighter, regularly powering through injuries much like how he powers through pitches left over the plate. Never playing like a game is ever out of reach, the club leader in career home runs will continue to spearhead his offense in his now third season with his home town club.

Since signing on to the club in Dark Horse just days before the 2025 season, Ramaizel has been a key cog in Melville's success on the field and cohesion and identity in the dugout. His sharp competitive mind and tireless motivation to improve has been a major factor in Melville's journey as well as timely home runs and web gems providing scorebook evidence of "Scrooge's" impact. Now the regular Third baseman and current teammate award holder, 2026 looks primed to be the Melville native's best year yet.

A quick athlete more than comfortable on both dirt and turf, Trevor's welcome return to the Moby Dicks provides support in many facets of the game to an already impressive and hungry squad. His huge performance in Melville's famous first victory in 2024, including a clutch late home run to settle the score, remains one of the best individual performances in the clubs growing history.

Your father's favorite Moby Dick. An original, a grinder, the heart and soul. Dubbed by his fans as "The Iceman" Matty was Melville's original starting pitcher, taking the ball bravely through a turbulent conception of the club. He has since played mainly as a catcher, and since being put in the leadoff spot in the summer of 2025, he has never given the role up and continues to lead by example and positivity. The best contact hitter in Melville Moby Dick's history, his efforts in the club's inaugural season on the mound, at the plate and in field named him the first recipient of the Dan Michael's Teammate Award.

David Marmann had a few stint to start his Moby Dick career as a fill-in call up. Once locked down as a full time player in the 2025 spring, he blossomed into a franchise player. His experience as a player for the local LIU Sharks translates to elite production in ABA, where he was a league champion with his former club. Regularly consistent in the 2 hole, his offense always helps his team, however his defense at shortstop is truly inspiring. A shortstop who never takes a play off, his individual efforts always impress when leading to outs, but how it rubs off on those playing around him and raises their play is what makes Marmann a special player and quite possibly the biggest force in turning Melville from lovable losers into a feared contender.

A founding member crucial to the clubs conception, "Perty" has been an every man for his club since day 1. Originally a Centerfielder and top of the line up regular, Perticone has been just about everywhere his team needs him since. Not the least of which being the team's trainer as the selfless RN is always first on scene to care for his brothers on the field. With a fresh approach and leading voice in the charge for success, Melville truly would not hold its standards and identity without Joe's commitment on and off the field.

Quite possibly no Moby Dick has traveled further in their journey as a player. An original Moby Dick now in his third season, "Mike Pert" truly embodies what the club is all about. A player who does not give up when the chips are down, one who is continuously determined to improve every week and most importantly one who always has his teammates back. Mike has developed from a defender who couldn't find a home in the field, to the club's everyday second baseman and an anchor for the pesky bottom half of the line up.

When Melvile acquired James Taufman in the middle of the 2024 season, he completely galvanized the inaugural season roster. Quite possibly the fastest player in ABA, his uncompromising pace and high motor at the top of the line-up changed the direction of Melville's first year offense and was pivotal to the clubs famous first victory. Taufman is now in his third season with Melville and has a catalog of massive timely hits and homers to track his progress. He has consistently utilized his skills and leadership in the middle of the line up to become a key offensive player and remains a tremendous dugout presence.

An original Moby Dick. Melville's lightning rod has played just about every role, and every position his team has asked of him. A dugout staple and clutch performer, Paul Levy is in his third season now for Melville and though he can mainly be listed as a DH these days, he still knows how to deliver. His clutch performance, playing one handed, in Melville's famous first franchise victory forever remains a legendary moment in the clubs history.
