Post Game Report - Game 4

Melville's winning streak would come to a close to a strong performance by their opponents in game 2. The conditions continued to play a factor as defensive miscues and base running mistakes impacted a 17-10 scoreline that was window dressed with a valiant effort in the top of the 5th (final inning due to time limit) as Melville refused to go down quietly.

Though upset with their mistakes, it was nothing that couldn't be worked on and given the effort showed to not lay down in this one gave the feeling that this is a loss the boys in blue will learn from and improve off of.

Not all was lost however. James Taufman would polish off a 7-7 performance highlighted by a lead off inside the park home run. Eric Tow's sclading start to life as a Moby Dick continued, going 6-6 and extending his club leading HR and RBI totals to 3 and 17 respectively. Joey Boninti and James Lauria made solid season debuts with a handful of hits and nice defensive work between the two of them. Jake Garziano would also make his club debut, notching 2 hits and a crucial inning ending catch in right field.
